Alex Kincaide is a journalist & informant who is prominent to the story in weapon finish flavor text & operations of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. Alex is mentioned in the flavor text of all Sand Dune & Indigo skins, including the Glock 18 | Sand Dune from the Alpha Collection, the first collection in Global Offensive. The flavor text explains he is a gonzo journalist who disappeared after traveling to Maghreb to cover Operation Vanguard. During Operation Bloodhound, Alex is captured by a former member of the Coalition Taskforce, Chase Turner who defects to the Phoenix Connexion. The Coalition Taskforce are tasked with rescuing Alex during the events of the Revolution campaign. Alex is the target hostage you must defend in an early Guardian mission on Lake. During Operation Wildfire, Alex is rescued by SEAL Team 6 with the help from another informant & arms dealer named Imogen in the events of the Gemini campaign. Alex is the target hostage found in the Phoenix Compound, in the third Co-op Strike mission. Alex continues to brief the player for several missions of the Gemeni campaign.
