Ballard FC beat the Lionsbridge Football Club 2-1 with a dramatic, last minute, stoppage time goal from Peter Kingston on August 5th. The game was played at Starfire Stadium in Tukwila in front of sold out crowd.
As national champions, Ballard FC has qualified for the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup next year, where they’ll get a chance to compete against the best teams in North America. The Seattle Sounders have won that tournament four times.
Ballard FC also won the Northwest Division title, going 10-1-1 in the process. The team plays at Interbay Stadium and sold out each of their matches there this year.
