Preparation

  1. Step 1

    Trim tough stems from whole broccoli and cut florets into bite-size pieces. Steam broccoli, about 7 minutes.

  2. Step 2

    Mince garlic and saute in hot oil in nonstick skillet.

  3. Step 3

    When broccoli is cooked, add it and lemon juice to garlic in pan and stir well. Cook briefly to mix well.

After this was done, I added about a tablespoon of low-sodium soy, really made the dish!

A good and easy way to cook broccoli. I steamed it in advance (my husband likes his broccoli "well-done") and then reheated it with the garlic (warning: it overcooks very quickly) and lemon. A nice side dish.
