Ingredients
- 2¼ounces Old Tom gin, preferably Hayman’s
- ¾ounce yellow Chartreuse
- 1dash orange bitters
- Lemon twist, for garnish
Preparation
- Step 1
In a mixing glass filled with ice, combine the gin, Chartreuse and bitters, and stir until chilled, about 30 seconds. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Squeeze the lemon twist over the drink’s surface and drop it into the glass.

This is good with Old Tom gin and amazing made with Monkey 47 or Los Principes des Apostoles gin.

Made one tonight with Barr Hill Vermont gin which is finished with estate raw honey. Will cut back a bit on the Chartreuse next time. I will also try using dry gin gin as well.
Try it with Barr Hill Tom Cat barrel aged gin. Good stuff.
Pacific Table in Fort Worth fixed this for me. Excellent drink. Had to use a different gin. They put in an order for Old Tom to make it the drink exactly.

I’ve always made my Alaskas with London Dry gins and they are quite tasty. Will try it with the Old Tom.
