Ingredients
- 2oz. Remy Martin VSOP
- 1oz. sweet vermouth
- 1tsp. yellow Chartreuse
- 2dashes Angostura or Regans’ Orange Bitters
- ¼oz. absinthe (optional)
- 1spring rosemary
- 1strip orange peel
- 1raspberry
Garnishes
Preparation
- Step 1
Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add all ingredients except garnishes, and stir. Strain into a brandy sifter.
- Step 2
To garnish, affix the orange peel and the raspberry to the rosemary sprig, as though it were a cocktail pick. Add to the drink.
Optional Step With Absinthe
- Step 3
Before straining the cocktail into the snifter, add ice to snifter, then swirl the absinthe in it to coat the glass. Let it sit for about 30 seconds to chill, then discard the ice.

believe it or not - it works well with Christian Brothers Brandy
Really nice twist - chartreuse (if you can find it...) is nicely floral/herbal, absinthe anisey -I did a cherry vs the other garnishes, which worked reall well.
Is the snifter just for looks?
I don’t get chilling it then putting it into a brandy snifter which is designed to warm the beverage.
