I played around with this smoothie, toying with adding this ingredient (banana) or that (coconut); but in the end what I love about it is the pure flavor of pineapple, softened by the grain that also thickens and bulks up the drink.

Ingredients

Yield:1 generous serving
  • ¼cup, tightly packed, cooked millet
  • cups fresh sweet pineapple (7 ounces)
  • ½cup fresh orange juice
  • 1tablespoon fresh lime juice
  • 1teaspoon agave nectar
  • 1tablespoon soaked cashews or almonds (optional) (.5 ounce)
  • 2ice cubes

    Place all of the ingredients in the jar of a blender and blend at high speed until smooth. Serve right away.
