There are some gentlemen who know how to make an entrance, and this show knows it: Simon on a horse is arguably a bigger thirst trap than any shirtless scenes to come. (Not that Regé-Jean Page has anything to worry about in that regard.)

Much of Kate and Anthony's early chemistry is tied up with her antipathy towards him in this scene, in which she chews Anthony out after overhearing his priggish rant about his requirements for a wife. Mostly because he seems a little turned on by her anger towards him. (Does Anthony have a shame kink? Future scenes between him and Kate do not discredit this idea!)

Later, Kilmartin promises not to hide her piano stool, which is for Francesca the best vow possible. But that doesn't make her nearly as excited as this initial gift.

When Simon threatens Lord Berbrooke after Berbrooke insults Daphne's honor, it's honestly hotter than when Simon and Daphne dance together for the first time.

Colin knows exactly how to stir up the ladies of the ton, and it's by telling them he can't tell them what he was up to on his adventures throughout the world. The energy is horny indeed at this garden party.

When Daphne defends her own honor against Berbrooke, Simon's impressed, and after he proposes their fake courtship, they walk to the dance floor. It's more a set-up for horniness than anything else, though Simon coaching her on how to "fake" their mutual attraction definitely knocks things up a notch.

When Colin agrees to help Penelope figure out the basics of flirting with men, her gift with words heats things up remarkably. Does Colin have a praise kink?

This crucial scene from Daphne and Simon's marriage is ranked here because it's one of the messiest and most complicated of the series. On the one hand, the look on Simon's face when Daphne shows some real initiative is arguably one of the show's most erotic moments. On the other hand, while the two of them have still not had an open and honest conversation about Simon's issues with having children, by this point Daphne understands enough about the actual act of intercourse to cross a line — she at least knows that Simon doesn't want to come inside her, and consent becomes murky as a result. So, the scene definitely has its moments, but given the sour note on which it ends, it's impossible to rank it any higher.

Eloise's flirtation with a person with a job (gasp!) never gets that sensual — she's too innocent, and he's too aware of the difference in their social statuses. Still, he gives her books during their most intimate and open scene together, which is very much speaking her love language, and we must respect young Theo's game.

The new Lord Featherington resorts to a touch of seduction in order to keep Lady Featherington from blowing up his con, ultimately going so far as to give her a tantalizing kiss while trying to convince her to flee with him to America. How authentic an offer that was may never be known, because Jack underestimated Lady Featherington's own conning instincts. But there was some real chemistry between the two — a spinoff series in which they fleeced snobs around the world could have been fun.

Daphne wakes up from quite the lusty slumber — she might have been dreaming about just the ghost of a kiss, but it's still pretty sensual

"Perhaps this little love play will inspire my lovers tonight," the queen says of the half-naked ballet act around which the ton has gathered... And it sure does seem to have everyone thinking thoughts.

While many early scenes between Anthony and Kate confuse flirty banter with snarky insults, this scene manages to actually deliver on the emotional connection that will build in later scenes. Due to memories of losing his father, Anthony's freak-out over Kate getting stung by a bee has him in an emotionally vulnerable place, and the ensuing intimacy definitely opens something up in him. It could be hornier. But both he and Kate are pretty affected, especially as they listen to each others' hearts beat.

Getting some competition from Lord Debling for Penelope's attention has a surprising impact on Colin, leaving him so tongue-tied he can't actually figure out what he wants to say to Penelope at the ball. This moment owes everything to its editing — the close-ups take it to a whole new level.

Between their conversation in the hallway and their later dance, this lady couldn't be yelling "fuck me raw" any louder without getting cast out of proper society. A lot of Benedict and Tilley's other scenes together are so easy and carefree that they don't make much of an impact — like, congrats to these two for figuring out how to have casual sex in an incredibly restrictive society, but it stops being all that interesting at a certain point. At least for now...

One of the best surprises of Queen Charlotte was the relationship between the King and Queen's footmen — what became of Reynolds in the show's present-day timeline remains a mystery, but it's lovely to see the pair get their own moments of connection, beginning with this G-rated holding of hands in the hallways of the palace, where anyone could see.

Penelope tells Colin his writing is very good while holding his bleeding hand, and based on his reaction — yep, Colin definitely has a praise kink.

Another fun surprise from Queen Charlotte was its focus on the older women in the cast, especially Violet contending with the realization that her husband might be deceased, but she is definitely... not. This might not be a very explicit scene, but it is a scene in which a woman says "I want to be 'gardened' as much as possible…" and her friend tells her "Yes, totally get it, and you deserve that." It's nice!

For the record, none of Violet's flirtations with Lord Anderson (Lady Danbury's brother!) in Season 3 were horny enough to make the cut for this list — but they are very sweet scenes, enhanced by the knowledge that Violet is definitely ready to move on with someone new, after all these years. And good for her!

First Anthony is yelling about how nothing happened between them at Aubrey Hall, then Kate's got an engagement ring on her hand and Anthony's stroking it. There's a certain point during the season where it seems like Anthony's mental and physical confusion over which Sharma sister he wants to marry is close to breaking him.

A horny replacement of a bracelet is all Edwina needs to figure out that maybe she shouldn't marry the dude clearly lusting after her sister. Still, Anthony could have maybe showed a little restraint. Then again, it clued Edwina into the depths of Anthony's feelings, so a net benefit overall.

This entire sequence is very silly, but it also brings out a lot of latent horniess for the whole cast. For one thing, the cause of the balloon getting loose is Prudence Dankworth (née Featherington) and her new husband engaging in some awkward spontaneous canoodling, and then you've got Colin with the rolled-up sleeves being all heroic while Lord Debling rushes to protect Penelope… Perhaps the most chaotic and horny balloon launch in screen history? (Admittedly not a lot of competition there.)

When Prince Friedrich puts the necklace on Daphne, the skin-on-skin contact has a definite effect on Daphne… Though her thoughts, once again, turn to Simon. To quote Consequence’s own Wren Graves, "Phoebe Dynevor is her generation’s greatest quiver-er — any scene where she’s not quivering is wasting her talent." This scene, at least, does not disappoint.

"I do not wish to die without ever being kissed" isn't perhaps the sexiest way to make your first kiss ever happen, but it wins Colin over. Really, Penelope's anticipation is what makes this scene sing.

Benedict sure doesn't hesitate to take his clothes off in front of a lady, though she did ask. Honestly, this scene is sexier than the later scene in which Benedict and the lady do actually embrace nakedly.

As the new lady of the house, Daphne wants to meet up with her new housekeeper, but Simon would like her to stay in bed. Some good steamy canoodling ensues, even if it's semi-reluctant on one side.

After some miscommunication about what they're actually supposed to be doing in bed with their husbands, Prudence and Philippa finally get their shit together. (In separate rooms, to be clear.) And one of them, at least, seems pretty happy about the results! They're silly girls, but by this point in the series they're actually being pretty nice to Penelope and so there's no reason to bear them ill will.

The enemies-to-lovers vibes kick in hard during Anthony and Kate's steamy (and unchaperoned!) scene together, especially as he keeps creeping closer to her: "My heart is with your sister" isn't as much of a deterrant as Anthony hopes, especially when he follows up with "Tell me you feel nothing and I will walk away."

It's a very sexy dream, a much sexier kiss than before… and the twist is that it's Colin's dream! Upon waking, he seems quite confused by it. But still also turned on.

Benedict getting hit on by a dude is, at this point, something he has the tiniest bit of experience with. But getting the full-tilt offer to join this very hot couple upstairs still causes him to freak out a little — mostly because you can tell he's tempted.

A nice example of a longing look from Anthony, followed by some very vigorous making out. Kate and Anthony still don't seem to know what the hell they're doing, but at least they're closer to being on the same page about it.

As Colin grapples with the revelation of Penelope's biggest secret, their furtive late-night connection offers up some hope that they might be able to work out their issues — at the very least, they're still hot for each other, and they hold hands before saying goodbye for the night.

One of many sexy interludes from Daphne and Simon's honeymoon phase, this impromptu rutting on Simon's desk doesn't last that long, and also ends with the not-so-sexy moment of him seeking out a tissue.

The show's newly-formed throuple enjoys a tender bit of post-coital cuddling, while musing on how their sexiness wouldn't be understood by the rest of society. Not as hot as their other scenes together, but still worthy of note because of their established intimacy — even though it's not going to last.

Every Bridgerton season finale has a scene in which the happy couple confirms their happiness with some semi-explicit sexin'. This one features Penelope on top, so the "good for her!" vibes are strong.

As mentioned previously, Regency-era attitudes towards proper sex education can make Bridgerton deeply frustrating to watch. However, sometimes the show knows exactly the right way to lean into that, such as this scene in which Simon "encourages" Daphne to discover the joys of masturbation.

Daphne and Simon's season-ending romp feels more like a scene of reconciliation at first, though things heat up as soon as they get with the kissing. Nothing too groundbreaking in terms of filmed lovemaking, but hey, we've got consensual intercourse to completion! Hooray for everyone.

So with montages, it can be hard to build up some real sexy steam, but this extended look at Daphne and Simon's honeymoon phase even revs up their staff. We've got beds, we've got picnic blankets, we've got a library ladder.... Maybe one of those things is less comfortable than the others, but the newlyweds seem happy.

Look at you, Bridgerton, with your first prominent example of gay male representation! My goodness, these men are hot for each other and hot in general, even while talking about the King's possibly deformed penis! (A remarkable achievement, to be sure)

The heavy breathing right before the kissing happens is a nice touch, as is the wonder on her face as the kissing gets heated. And then Colin's hands slip up her skirt, and Penelope is feeling things she's never felt before. It's an impressively hot sequence, even by this show's standards.

It's really when Anthony starts sniffing Kate that things get good here. What's also nice is that this is the scene that makes Anthony realize just how similar he and Kate are, and also then we get some quality smooches seguing into a lot of "do not stop" and clothes going bye-bye. This is at least the third depiction of cunnilingus in the show? With a few pretty explicit glimpses of him looking at her from between her legs.

Benedict and Tilly's "Dear Friend Paul" burn the house down with their first kiss, and things only get hotter from there as our new throuple make their way to the bedroom. There has been a lot of anticipation around Benedict's potential bisexuality since the show began, and this scene really delivered on that passion.

The not-so-platonic ideal of hate-fucking, complete with buttons ripping off shirts, a touch of oral sex, and an unconventional use of surfaces. Honestly, each coupling flows so fast into the next that it stands out in the memory as one continual sequence of horniness.

The wedding night gets off to a shaky start before some fireside confessions finally get these two dummies into the same bed. Director Sheree Folkson aims more for beauty than sensuality inititally, but then Simon goes and asks Daphne what she thought about when she touched herself and it is on. Daphne probably would have appreciated some additional foreplay, but still a good gaspy thrusty time.

Colin yelling at Lady Featherington and Penelope getting a tour of their future home is an excellent prelude to the series' most passionate encounter to date, with some explicit nudity, some real depth of feeling, and a major emphasis on her beauty. You don't get a lot of deliberate undressing like this on this show, and the intentionality of it burns. Not to mention the look on Colin's face when he tells "Not there... Not yet." They are happy and in love and it's really very sweet. As well as damn hot. Bridgerton at its best.
