For the inaugural episode of  Going There with Dr. Mike Season 5, Dr. Mike sits down with YUNGBLUD to discuss his personal mental health journey. Listen above or wherever you get your podcasts.

YUNGBLUD, the rap pseudonym for English artist and actor Dominic Richard Harrison, goes deep into his personal experience dealing with depression, anxiety, and insomnia. Although it can be tough to admit, it can be a daunting task addressing such struggles. Harrison explains how, while everyone wants their mental health to improve, there’s sometimes a misconception that one might loose their “true self” in the process of healing or medicating. The artist pushes back against such a sentiment, offering a glimpse into the personal strategies he uses to keep himself headed in the right mental direction.

Listen to YUNGBLUD chat about all of this and more — including how it all ties into his newest single “breakdown.”, the video for which can be seen below — in the new episode of Going There with Dr. Mike; you can also watch a segment of the discussion via the video player below (or check it out on YouTube). Then make sure to like, review, and subscribe to the show, presented by the Consequence Podcast Network and Sound Mind Live, wherever you get your podcasts.
