Mayo Clinic Alix School of Medicine tied for No. 6 in the 2021 Best Medical Schools rankings from U.S. News & World Report.

This marks the school’s third consecutive year among the top 10 best medical schools in the country.

"To be included as one of the top medical schools in the country is a real testament to the tremendous educational efforts of our faculty, students, and staff," says Fredric Meyer, M.D., Waugh Executive Dean for Education at Mayo Clinic. "It also recognizes the strong bonds between Practice, Research, and Education at Mayo Clinic, and how we work together to face head-on the medical challenges that will present to our school, our institution, and the patients we serve, now and in the future." Dr. Meyer also is dean of Mayo Clinic Alix School of Medicine.

The school has ranked high in research for several years, and many physician-scientists can attest to the groundbreaking biomedical advances being discovered across Mayo. The medical school's multicampus curriculum immerses students in the compassionate standard of Mayo's medical practice as an integral part of their curriculum.
