After three years of hard work, preparation for Mayo Clinic Alix School of Medicine's two-year branch campus in Florida is officially complete.

What began in 2016 as an idea to bring medical students to the campus by way of their final two years of medical school is now fully operational and integrated into the Mayo Clinic Alix School of Medicine national medical school.

Through this program, students have the ability to spend their first two years at the Minnesota or Arizona campus and then transfer to Florida to complete their final two years of medical training.

Last year, two students participated in the Match and graduated from the Florida campus after completing the 2+2 program.

The Florida 2+2 program will admit 12 students per academic year, with the first full cohort expected to transfer in July 2020 and graduate in May 2022.
