SYRACUSE, N.Y. - It's been a fairly mild winter with more rain than snow in Syracuse. Our season snowfall total is well below normal at this point in the year. If we don't get any big snow makers, we could set records for one of the least snowiest seasons and winters in Syracuse!

Up to this date, Syracuse's season snowfall total is 34.5 inches. Normally up this point in the season, our average snowfall total is 97.6 inches. The least amount of snow Syracuse has seen up to this date in the season is 37.5 inches in 2011-2012. However, this season's snowfall total is 3 inches lower, putting us in first place for the least snowiest season up to this date.

A normal full season in Syracuse produces on average 127.8 inches of snow. The least snowiest full season in Syracuse was also in 2011-2012 with only 50.6 inches.
