Syracuse women's lacrosse Class of 2025 took a huge blow on Friday evening.

Alexa Spallina, the No. 1 ranked Class of 2025 recruit by Inside Lacrosse, has switched her previous commitment to Syracuse to join the Clemson Tigers.

Spallina, a Mount Sinai, NY native, had previously committed to SU last fall. She is the younger sister of SU men's lacrosse rising junior phenom Joey Spallina, as well as rising sophomore twin brothers Brett and Jake Spallina.

Her father, Joe Spallina, is currently the head coach of Stony Brook women's lacrosse.

Alexa has been an All-American the past two seasons at Mt. Sinai. She will play her senior season for the Mustangs this fall.
