SYRACUSE, NY — State regionals for high school girls and boys lacrosse, softball,, and baseball were in full swing on Saturday- and many Section-III teams had a lot to celebrate. Below are the Saturday scores and schedule for state semifinals next week, categorized by sport.
GIRLS LACROSSE
-Fulton 19, Union Endicott 8 FINAL. Up next: Fulton (14-6) will take on Rye (Section I) on Friday in the Class C semifinals at SUNY Cortland, 9:00 a.m.
-South Jefferson 20, Canton 0 FINAL. Up next: South Jefferson (18-2) will take on Bronxville (Section I) on Friday in the Class D semifinals at SUNY Cortland, 11:00 a.m.
-Cicero-North Syracuse 25, Corning Painted-Post 1 FINAL. Up next: C-NS (17-2) will take on Suffern (Section I) on Friday in the Class A semifinals at SUNY Cortland, 1:00 p.m.
-West Genesee 17, Ithaca 3 FINAL. Up next: West Genny (16-3) will take on Greeley (Section I) on Friday in the Class B semifinals at SUNY Cortland, 3:00 p.m.
BOYS LACROSSE
-Marcellus 21, Canton 4 FINAL. Up next: The Mustangs (18-1) will take on Aquinas Institute (Section V) on Wednesday in the Class D semifinals at SUNY Cortland, 3:00 p.m.
-Jamesville-Dewitt 22, Ogdesnburg Free Academy 3 FINAL. Up next: J-D (18-2) will take on Honeyoe Falls-Lima (Section V) on Wednesday in the Class C semifinals at SUNY Cortland, 6:30 p.m.
-Vestal 6, West Genesee 5 FINAL. The Wildcats finish the season 15-4 after Saturday's loss to Vestal.
BASEBALL
-Jamesville-Dewitt 3, Albany Academies 2 FINAL. Up next: J-D (19-1) will make the program's first ever state final four appearance. The Red Rams will take on Maine-Endwell (Section IV) in the Class A state semifinals on Friday at Union-Endicott High School, 4:00 p.m.
-Christian Brothers Academy 11, Shenendehowa 10 FINAL. CBA ends the season with a 17-5 record after giving up six runs in the final inning to fall in Saturday night's matchup at OCC
