The love of golf and football met Monday at Timber Banks Golf Club.

The NFL Alumni Association's upstate New York chapter held its first annual charity golf classic raising money for Francis House and Erin's Angels. CNY Central served as the media sponsor.

Groups of golfers were joined by former players spanning multiple generations including 4-time Super Bowl champion Jon Kolb from the Pittsburgh Steelers, 9-year NFL running back Adrian Murrell, and Syracuse alum and 7-year veteran Arthur Jones.

"It's surreal to be on this side of the ball and hangout with so many different legends from different teams," Jones said. "It's a blessing man I definitely don't take it for granted."

"Having a golf tournament allows us to connect with people," said Leroy Collins, president of the NFL Alumni upstate NY chapter. "It's one of those things where you can create friendships that will last forever and it's all for a good cause."
