What to know about Le Moyne's new women's basketball head coach Nick DiPillo

Le Moyne College has a new head coach for the women's basketball team.

On Thursday, the school announced Nick DiPillo will lead the Dolphins moving forward. DiPillo comes from Bowling Green where he served as an assistant coach for one year. His resume spans multiple levels of college basketball and professionally on the women's side.

  • Bowling Green, 2023-24 (asst.)

The North Brunsick, N.J. native last served as a head coach for the University of Scranton. The Lady Royals went 58-8 under DiPillo's leadership including a D-III NCAA Sweet Sixteen appearance in 2022.

DiPillo played college basketball at fellow Northeast Conference school Fairleigh Dickinson.\

He replaces Mary Grimes who left Le Moyne to take the head coaching job at Binghamton. In their first year competing at the D-I level, the Dolphins surpassed expectations going 18-15, 14-2 NEC and made it all the way to the NEC Tournament championship game.

DiPillo will formally be introduced at a press conference next Tuesday
