Toyota High School Athlete of the Week: Rome Free Academy's Carmen Orton

Sometimes, a team just needs a spark, a player to put the team on his or her back and lead them to victory.

Rome Free Academy's Boy's Lacrosse has found that guy.

Senior attackmen Carmen Orton is CNY Central's Toyota High School Athlete of the Week.

Orton has led Rome Free Academy Boys Lacrosse to a major turnaround this season.

After going just 8-9 last year, the Black Knights are 11-5 this season and one of the best teams in class A.

Orton, a senior who leads the attack unit, has been an offensive powerhouse, leading the team in both goals and points.

Orton will play at SUNY Cortland next season.
