Investigators are looking into an alleged assault at a South Carolina home, and the teen's family is seeking legal action after sources say their daughter was pressured into drinking before being assaulted by several classmates.

Sources say a 16-year-old female student at Clover High School was invited by three classmates to the home in Lake Murray on June 14. The teen claims the three girls allegedly assaulted her and recorded their actions and shared them on social media.

According to an incident report, the mother of one of the four girls purchased alcohol for the teens. At around 11 p.m., the 16-year-old victim was put under a blanket, claimed she could not breathe and when she was finally able to take the blanket off, told officials two of the girls began punching her and dragging her across the room.

Sources told WACH that the events were caught in photos and videos which the attackers shared on social media, including an image of two girls sitting on top of the 16-year-old victim and smiling while holding her head up.

These posts are under review by the Lexington County Sheriff's Department, which is also "looking into any and all potential criminal activities" in this case.

The victim's family is seeking legal action and has set up a GoFundMe account. Although deputies could not confirm the name of the victim, the GoFundMe page and social media comments identify her as Lacey.

As of Tuesday afternoon, it has raised over $18,000 of its $50,000 goal.

Assault/simple assault charges have been filed at this time. This is an ongoing investigation.
