Syracuse police seek leads in fatal hit-and-run on West Court Street

SYRACUSE, N.Y. — The Syracuse Police Department is asking for the public's help in a fatal hit-and-run investigation.

On Friday, July 5 at around 9:24 p.m., Syracuse Police Officers responded to the 100 block of West Court Street for a hit-and-run motor vehicle collision with injuries. Upon arrival, officers located an adult male victim suffering from several traumatic injuries. The victim was transported to Upstate University Hospital where he ultimately succumbed to his injuries. He has been identified as 35-year-old Shane Jackson of Syracuse.
