A 33-year-old motorcycle driver died Saturday morning after crashing into a Ford pickup truck.

The Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office, New York State Troopers, and North Syracuse Police responded to Chestnut Street in the Town of Clay around 10:50 a.m.

Upon arrival, emergency crews proceeded to give the motorcycle driver, Joseph Drake of Liverpool, lifesaving medical attention.

Drake was transported to the Upstate University Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries and died.

The driver of the pickup truck was uninjured.

No tickets have been issued. The accident is currently under investigation to determine the cause.
