I've had this for a few months now and I love it! I have a teapot for larger infusions, but this is ideal for making a single cup.
I've used many types of infusers (listed below). This FORLIFE infuser is the one I would most likely buy again. The only real competitor is the Finium brewing basket, which has an exceptionally fine mesh and may be better for teas with a lot of fines.
Pros:
*Simple and safe* -- only the stainless steel touches the liquid. No BPA or other contaminants for your tea.
*Sturdy* -- thick stainless steel with machined or etched perforations. It would take some work to put a dent in it during normal use.
*Fine holes* -- my most common gripe about infusers is that they let dust through. This infuser does an excellent job keeping the tea inside the infuser. It's ideal for lose teas with a lot of fines such as chamomile or rooibos.
*Good permeability* -- too often the trade-off is between larger holes or less permeability. This infuser does both.
*Thoughtful design* -- the silicone liner on the lid makes it easy to handle. The lid keeps heat in while brewing and doubles as a holder and drip catcher for the infuser when you're done with it. Handy for work use or other locations where you might not have a sink handy.
*Easy to clean*
*Good size for most mugs* -- the basket is about 2 3/8" in diameter, the bevel below the lid should fit inside a 2 7/8" opening. Total height is about 3".
Cons:
Not made in USA (I think it was China).

Fits great in Yeti 20 ounce cup!
I had been using this filter in my standard coffee cups. It was a bit small but with the little handle it worked fine. NO complaints.This morning, I was heading into the city on an adventure and decided to try to brew my tea in my Yeti 20 ounce stainless steel cup. I hadn't used the cup much previously as it had been a gift to the hubs and he's nuts and didn't use it. Much to my great happy surprise, the filter fit exactly perfectly into the Yeti! And the lid for the filter fit perfectly on top of that, allowing the tea to brew for hours if I had so wanted. I think I might be using the Yeti as my tea cup now since it works so well with this filter.... though the cup works so well it might stay too hot to drink for too long!And a hint for cleaning the used tea out - a little round brush - like for cleaning straws or science lab glassware. Worked like a charm.Love the filter, love the tea that results from the filter. Love that I can brew the tea at least twice in the filter. Really love that it fits the already fab Yeti cup. It's a match made in stainless steel tea heaven!
