Product Description

One Button Simplicity

Deliciously Simulated Power

Under the Hood

Designed for Today

One Button Simplicity

Simplify your coffee routine to the touch of a button. The Ratio Six’s Bloom, Brew, and Ready phases run in sequence, delivering a perfect (and easy) cup of coffee every time.

Deliciously Simulated Power

The Ratio Six simulates a skilled barista pourover process, precisely metering water flow through both the bloom and brew phases. All of the taste. None of the work.

Under the Hood

Utilizing the same die-cast aluminum heating element as the Ratio Eight, water flows evenly through the stainless steel shower head and over the grounds at the ideal extraction temperature.

Designed for Today

And tomorrow. We designed the Ratio Six for longevity with precision formed stainless steel, borosilicate glass, and high end BPA-free copolymers. Every inch is built to last.

Delicious Coffee. Simplified.

At Ratio, we believe everyone should be able to enjoy world-class coffee without the fuss. Which is why we build coffee machines for flavor, precision, simplicity, and beauty—no more and no less. We call it “convenience without compromise.” Our customers call it “I’m never buying another coffee maker again.”

Thanks to Ratio Six, the world’s best coffee is more accessible than ever.

Featuring unique materials and an innovative build process, the Ratio Six delivers an experience comparative to its older sibling at a leaner cost, slimmer profile, and lighter weight. All despite having the same brewing capacity (1.25 liters / 40 ounces) and powerful 1400 W heating element.

Less Thinking. Better Drinking.

Sometimes you just want a great cup of coffee without having to think about time, temperature, and other variables. Which is why Ratio has just one button and no complicated programming.

After the button is pressed, Ratio simulates a skilled barista pour over process: First, hot water is dispersed through a stainless steel spiral shower head across the grounds, causing a bubbly interaction called a “bloom.” The control board allows the bloom to settle before delivering the rest of the hot water slowly near the ideal temperature (200º). The result? More evenly extracted grounds and a more amazing cup of coffee.

Flexible Brewing

Flexible Brewing

The Ratio Six ships with a thermal carafe designed for flat-bottom basket coffee filters. Prefer a conical filter? You can also use the Ratio Eight Thermal Carafe or Glass Carafe with a Chemex paper filter or stainless steel reusable Ratio Kone. Both the Ratio Six and Eight have the same brewing capacity (1.25 liters / 40 ounces).

Optimized Ratio Six Shower Head

Brew 2 to 8 Cups of Coffee in the Ratio Six

Cast and Stamped Stainless Steel

Ratio Six Unique Heat Shield

Optimized Shower Head

Utilizing the same die-cast aluminum heating element as the Ratio Eight, water flows evenly through the stainless steel shower head and over the grounds at the ideal extraction temperature. Each hole in the shower head is precisely placed to maximize saturation of the coffee, leading to the best possible flavor.

Brew from 2 to 8 Cups

BPA-free copolymer water tank with water markings from 2 to 8 cups, with accuracy to within 1 ounce.

Cast and Stamped Stainless Steel

One of the biggest drawbacks to many current home coffee makers is the abundance of low-grade materials. We chose heavy duty precision stamped stainless steel for the body of the Six, and a beautiful cast stainless lid for the water tank.

Haute Coffee

The Six features a unique heat shield that completely surrounds the shower head during brewing, increasing the extraction of your coffee and giving you a hot mug of coffee. The coffee is typically just shy of 200 degrees F at the end of the brew cycle.

Carafe and lid are faulty
The lid for the carafe and the carafe itself cannot pour properly and has a faulty design, it spits and leaks all over the place, wasn't expecting such poor quality.

This was a tough decision to upgrade our home drip program, and I watched tons of reviews online and scanned through the forums. It came down to the wire between the Mochamaster and the Ratio 6. So we've had the Ratio 6 for 2 weeks now, and we are happy. The coffee is amazing.
This is a night and day difference from the Cuisinart we've had for years.
Every batch is good. Every time.

The carafe keeps the coffee hot for hours, which is important since I'm making the batch at 0530, and my wife doesn't start drinking it until she gets the kids to school, so her first cup is usually close to 0900. The coffee is hot. There's no denying that it gets to proper temperature, and you have to be careful on your first sip, or you'll scorch your tongue.

I've mostly made batches with 1 liter of water, and I've experimented with smaller and larger sizes, but it doesn't matter, it always tastes delicious. This is an easy machine to use. Pretty much fire and forget. Push the button, and in 5 minutes you're enjoying a smooth cup of java.

The carafe did come with a scratch that ran down the side of it. Didn't notice it when I first took it out of the box and it didn't really bother me, but my wife was understandably upset about it. So on day 3, I emailed customer service, and Brett emailed me back that day and said that they were truly sorry that it came that way, and that they were shipping out a brand new carafe to us. Came a couple days later, so I feel pretty confident that they stand by their product.

One of my favorite aspects of the Ratio 6 is when you push the button and it turns on, there's this heavy, low moaning sound of it heating up that is just so cool. It's crazy that I actually look forward to waking up and making coffee.

Set up was phenomenally easy. Even stated that all items arrived pre-rinsed so coffee was minutes away (full disclosure- I rinsed them anyway)
Love that the coffee basket segment is fully removable and easy to clean.
An early review mentioned it was difficult to put under brewer with heat shield in place, but the top of the heat shield on mine is soft silicone so very easy to slide carafe, basket, and heat shield into place.
Coffee is excellent, but obviously this will also depend on where you source your coffee and if you grind your own (at this price point it would be strange not to own a burr grinder, if you don’t you should upgrade to one immediately)
Carafe keeps coffee hot longer than any other carafe I’ve owned.
All in all a solid buy and I was slightly concerned at this price which is not inexpensive, but so far appears well constructed and reliable. Time will tell

First things first, the caliber of coffee this can consistently deliver is fantastic. Delicious cups day in and day out, which is great because I'm far too tired to concentrate to do something like a pour over first thing in the morning. My only two marks against it that I would appreciate improvement: The heat sink tends to flip back at you, occasionally spraying some water around or at you. It's a drop, so not exactly dangerous, but it does bug me a tiny bit. They're working on a replacement but we'll see. Secondly and more importantly, the lines on the water tank and the ratios they suggest are..odd to me. I have found best results sticking to a standard coffee ratio you prefer, for me 65g:1L is the ideal. Ultimately those are minor quality of life complaints, I can easily weigh my water when I pour it into a measuring cup out of my 5gallon tank anyway. The more important thing is the quality and consistency of the coffee, and its unique design ensures that. High recommend if you love coffee.

I bought this machine for my girlfriend because hers broke. I've observed her struggles with it but this week I've had to use it because my espresso machine is down and to be honest this whole thing is embarrassing.

- The quality of the coffee seems ... fine. Indistinguishable from what comes out of a $40 walmart filter brewer if you use a burr grinder and good beans.
- The carafe and lid are garbage. The lid itself is hard to get put on. The carafe will spill everywhere when pouring coffee. This is apparently a known issue because they put a little label on the carafe telling to you to first tilt it and then press the button opening the spout. I mean you spend $350 on a coffee maker and they can't get a carafe to work. Somehow every other manufacturer that has their stuff made in Shenzhen can get a carafe built that works, but these guys can't and instead put a label on it telling you how to use a piece of bronze age technology.
- The whole carafe and filter assembly look cute, except they're a pain to set up and remove. Every time you remove the filter assembly you're getting coffee on your counter.
- The rubber collar around the filter assembly also seems like it sounded like a great idea, except if you don't carefully ensure it's seated properly, the coffee will drip on the outside of it and get all over your counter.
- They made the tank non removable which is fine if you live in a place with soft water and don't actually have to think about removing scale from your coffee machine. I guess I could buy descaler for this thing like it's a $5000 La Marzocco.

The whole thing appears to be a classroom demonstration of what happens when you prioritize aesthetics over function.
