We love this cooler! Debated over the traditional shape vs. this one. The advantages to this one are that it's nice and deep, so you can fit tall things (bottles of wine) and the removable tray on top still leaves plenty of room below. It really holds a lot of stuff. The shape is perfect for taking on the pontoon boat, as it tucks in behind one of the seats or can come out to be an extra cocktail or snack table, as the height is not too low. It fits nicely in the back of my crossover SUV for trips back and forth and because of it's shape, doesn't take up too much room. It's a little heavy to lift when full for one person, but the wheels solve for that and it really is a smooth ride.

We roadtrip a lot and have a Yeti zip up cooler that takes a lot to unzip while actually moving. We got this one to take on road trips. Much easier to open, keeps things cold for days, and if you ever need to jack up your car to change a tire you can rest it on te cooler while you work (ok, that was a joke but this thing is a tank).

Bought a roadie 48 from Dawsons in the UK via Amazon a few weeks ago. The cooler had a manufacturing defect and was covered in several scratches. The box even had a return label from a previous customer! Dawsons should have returned this to Yeti instead of putting it back into stock. When I called them (I spoke with a very abrupt and rude lady) they denied any responsibility stating the responsibility sat with Amazon, as they fulfilled the order.

I got in touch with Yeti customer support who sorted me out with a warranty replacement in the space of 48 hours. Great service by Yeti, and a great cooler… just be mindful who this is sold by.

(Amazon customer support also sorted me out with a gesture of goodwill which was very appreciated.)
