A juniper-infused tribute to a remarkable woman

On 24 May 1948, Agnes Arber became the first woman to receive the Gold Medal of the Linnean Society, a world-famous institution dedicated to the study of natural history. Arber was born in 1879 to artist Henry Robertson who passed down to her his technical drawing skills, utilised by Arber throughout her education and career in the study of plant anatomy. As a botanical historian, she focused her scientific research on flowering plants under the wing of her mentor, morphologist Ethel Sargent. By the time of Arber’s death in 1960, she had published an extensive library of books on both botany and philosophy.

With an appreciation for Agnes Arber’s work – her dedication to discovering all the intricacies and wonders of the natural world – we have produced the Arber gin range: a convergence of nine herbs and fruits, distilled together in Langley Distillery’s affectionately named Jenny, one of the oldest working copper gin stills in the United Kingdom

The Botanicals

a convergence of nine skillfully selected botanicals.

Savoury, earthy: juniper, coriander, Angelica, cassia

Sweet, acidic: lemon, lime, grapefruit, orange, liquorice

The Expressions

The classic, Agnes Arber Premium Gin. The second expression in the range, Arber Rhubarb. Or, the latest addition to the range, Agnes Arber Pineapple.

Which will you choose?

The Cocktails

A traditional G&T, a Rhubarb Fizz, a Pineapple Negroni. The possibilities are endless.

The Arber range lends itself perfectly to both the experimental bartender wanting to concoct something different for a customer, as well as the home drinking gin-lover, who wants to sit back on the sofa with a refreshing drink.

I prefer a flavoured gin and this is just the right level of tang. A subtle taste of rhubarb makes a very pleasant g&t. Lovely bottle too.

I hate gin but I could smash this, with lemonade, the pineapple one tastes like sprite. It's actually quite dangerous. Lovely stuff
