Why didn't I buy it sooner?
My only regret is not buying this blender sooner. Yes, it's pricey for a blender (or so I thought), but it's totally worth the money. It's very easy to use and clean, and it makes the smoothest smoothies. I'm still impressed with the texture of the açaí I made. Plus, it even comes with a recipe book. If you love cooking, trying new recipes, and want to be healthier, this product is perfect for you. Just wait for a good deal on Amazon and buy it, lol.

This machine is amazing and completely worth the price. We had a cheap Ninja blender for 7 or 8 years and found that we hardly ever used it. It just wasn't functional. We'd make a strawberry smoothie and all the little strawberry seeds would still be there. I found the food processor was way more functional than the Ninja. Fast forward to a month ago, and we finally bought this Vitamix. It is AMAZING! It blends everything super smooth. The only thing that I find little tiny bits persisting is raspberry and blackberry seeds. Eveything else is totally smooth. We've started making at least one smoothie a day for breakfast, use it for soups, pureeing home made jams, etc, and it is a breeze to clean up. Rinse out quickly with water, fill just under half way with water, add a quirt of soap, and run at full speed for 30-45ec. I wish I had bought this sooner. This is not a quiet machine, but it works so quickly and so effectively, who cares!?

Can’t say any more great things about it than what you’ll find on YouTube. I’m glad to be an owner and use it often for breakfast blends and for dog food prep. It’s strong, powerful, reliable and easy to use and clean. It’s the best one out there, it’s your only choice if your looking for a professional blender/mixer/processor.

What do I like? Over the past 50 years I have bought blenders, and this one is simple, powerful and sturdily constructed. What do I not like? That it is a blender. Sorry, I had forgotten how in the past I have bought blenders and then ended up not using them. But somehow I am seduced into buying one again.
I was making hummus regularly, every three or four days, using a battery operated hand held immersion blender. I did not get quite the smoothness I wanted, it was not powerful enough, but it was compact and I could do the blending in the jar I stored the hummus in and was easy to clean.
With the Vitamix I got smoother hummus, but that was only after interupting the process and using a spatula to stir things up - because without that the output had larger bits of chickpea skin that survived (I don't want to skin the chickpeas). (With a hand blendeer you can move the device around to make sure everything is processed.) The cleanup with the blender is typical, but what I really dislike is the effort it takes to get hummus out of the container. I haven't made icecream or sorbets, but how does one serve it without leaving a significant portion deep in the container or coating fluted walls that don't lend themselves to convenient silicone spatula use? So conclusion is that the product is great but I don't like countertop blenders.

I'll start by saying that I absolutely love my vitamix. It's pricey, of course, but you already know that going in so no surprises there. So far, everything that I've used it for has produced superior quality than any of my other blender brands used in the past. Green smoothies blended to perfection, silky smooth romesco sauces and soups, haven't tried salad dressings yet but I have no doubt they'll be fantastic. The ONLY issue I've had so far is with the tall thin container. Really inconvenient to try to put on the counter underneath the cabinets since it's so tall. It fits, but not with the lid on, which means I have to store the lid separately. If you have high cabinets or counter space thats not directly under cabinets then this won't be an issue for you. However if your kitchen is like mine, i'd definitely recommend the fatter, low profile container. I really wish I would have gotten that one to begin with. On the plus side, you can always buy one... but for $100+ on top of the already steep price tag, I'm not sure the inconvenience is THAT inconvenient.

With the exception of wishing I'd got the low profile container, this blender is definitely superior, and what I would consider an investment in your health. It makes homemade much easier and efficient, which obviously has its benefits. While the price tag might elicit a little whiplash for us normal folks, I don't plan on having to replace it any time soon. And if you consider it an investment, it definitely makes the price easier to swallow.

Take the plunge! Just do it! Buy once cry once! This machine is worth every penny! When I first opened the box I had to try one of the soup recipes! The blend is smooth and creamy and I would never have believed that a blender could have heated a soup to the perfect temperature, but it does!

That’s not why I bought this blender though! I make a smoothie for breakfast every morning. I’ve had no clue that my smoothie could be so..well…smooth! I previously used another popular blender brand and I had to fight to get the frozen items to blend evenly and the greens never truly blended completely. The Vitamix 5200 handles my greens and frozen food quickly and easily and is the best textured smoothie I’ve ever had.

I usually only make a smoothie for one so I was eyeing a smaller version of this brand. I ultimately went with the 5200 because I wanted the 7 year warranty and I wanted to be able to make larger batches if the need arose. In the end, I’m happy I did.

5.0 out of 5 stars An *absurdly* good blender.
Reviewed in Canada on December 28, 2023

I am not - WAS not - much of a "blender guy", but the Vitamix 5200 changed that. And even though I am typing this all out in a product review, where that sort of sentiment belongs, it still sounds absurd to me. Who gets impressed by a *blender*? Me, apparently.

Prior to this Vitamix the only blender I had ever used in my *entire life* was an ancient Osterizer from the 70s. The thing is literally older than I am, but beyond all reasonable expectations it still somehow works. Go Osterizer, I guess? This year I grew way too many hot peppers, decided to make a bunch of hot sauce with them, and suddenly the Osterizer showed its age. While it was fine blending a couple of smoothies a month for us, it struggled to blend up 12 litres of hot sauce in one night, so I figured maybe the time had come to get a "real" (I.E. manufactured in this century) blender.

After some internet research I selected the Vitamix 5200 as being the most likely not to struggle through my new hot sauce hobby, only to find that I was basically swatting a fly with a nuke. That old Osterizer took about 2 hours of blending and cooling down to do 12 litres of my (admittedly very thick) hot sauce puree. The Vitamix 5200 did all 12 litres in less than 2 minutes.

The Vitamix 5200 is *absurd*. And that has made it life-changing for us.

It doesn't matter what you put in there. You can just shove the most fibrous of vegetables in there, right up to the brim, and *bvvvvvt*, instantly pureed. Shove a bunch of ice in there...instant slushy. Anything that is a solid that you no longer want to be a solid anymore this blender will handle.

So we went from a household that might make a couple of smoothies every month to one that is now bulk-making sauces, soups, and so forth. We even just toss hole grains of various types (wheat, oatmeal, rye, flax, etc.) and turn them into our own multi-grain flower, then into pre-mixed dry bread ingredients.

When we are "low spoons" - I.E. we just don't have the jam to cook properly - we can just pull out some of our pre-made sauce from the freezer, drop it on some noodles, et voila: actual food groups get consumed.

As an ADHD household we have been familiar with the concept of "a critical threshold of ease of use" for some time, but we never expected to find that in a *blender*. Somehow, however, the thing is both just easy enough to use and powerful enough to handle whatever we throw at it with zero prep work that has managed to make the "pre-cooking your nutritious meals" parts of adulting just easy enough that we can actually do them on a regular basis.

If you're looking for a top-of-the-line blender for your home, you'd be hard-pressed to find anything that would top it, I think. All those rave reviews on the internet were, for once, actually not lying.

Lemon Scent who sold this blender are a fantastic company, I was initially disappointed that this blender came with an American plug and chose to return it. But Lemon Scent bent over backwards to meet my needs, they will supply an adapter to use in a UK kitchen.
I purchased a Vitamix blender many years ago and fell in love with this versatile machine. Easy to use and clean. Worth the investment for sure.
Thank you Lemon Scent.

I've had cheap blenders in the past few years, including Ninja and other "affordable" models, and they never lasted. They survive for a few months or a year before breaking, fracturing, or simply not giving the power I require for something like a standard silky smooth smoothies. No matter how much water to fruit or vegetable ratio I used, all of my smoothies turned up lumpy, unfinished, or goopy.

The amount of money I have wasted on cheap brands compared to this high quality blender specifically the 5200 is upsetting. Very pleased with the power, but as one would always say, could be cheaper, but you can't really put a price on quality.
