This knob is very pretty. It’s made identical to the original using light weight stainless steel, so it doesn’t alter or improve the function of the oven. It is just as heat resistant as the original and has withstood a 450-degree oven temperature for more that an hour.
This is identical to the original except that it’s anodized with color which should hold up to time and use.
Installation is straightforward- unscrew the original and screw this knob on (the knob does come with a new screw). This is made in China, just like the original (just the cast iron portion of the oven is made in France).
This should last as long the original would.

It amazing just how much difference replacing the old Le Crueset knob has made to lifting off the weighty lid. In the hand thge old know was somewhat smaller and harder to grip, but this new shiny metallic knob provides a much more secure and comfortable grip.

Expensive perhaps, but I see that my 15+ year old Le Crueset pot is now costing somewhere around £280 so a. £20 something knob is little to pay for a casserole pot that is that old and in near constant use.
