The coating on it started peeling after a few uses. I'm not sure what could have caused this as I have never put it through the dishwasher. I will have to see if I can get a replacement lid. I would like to note that the peeling only occurred on my white mug. My dad has a black one and his is perfectly fine.

i think i received a defective Miir product, or this is is not an authorized reseller. i own another Miir tumblr (same exact one in a diff color), and was so frustrated bc i could not even close the one I purchased through Amazon.

i don't know if it's defective or what, but the lid does not fit the actual mug, and I only successfully closed it once. bummer, but i'll have to find it elsewhere.

This is the best traveler you'll ever own. Coffee stays hot for hours--and I mean hours. And I mean seriously hot. I love the look and feel and size of the cup--12 ounces. I bought it in white. In hindsight, possibly should have gone for the black version? I drink my coffee black and I've noticed some stain on the inside of the white lid. Am able to get it fairly clean with some effort, but you know how it is, time is money. Alas, still love my MiiR.
