Got this peeler because it was known to be sharp. Boy is it. It peels butternut squash like a hot knife through butter. I put it in the drawer and wasn't careful while rummaging for my instant read thermometer and nicked my knuckle. Treat it with respect. The handle is on the large size so it fits my XL glove sized hands very well. It has a good weight and feel to it that allows very good control. We'll see how long it stays sharp, but so far after having peeled several butternut squashes and made thin slices of carrot and cucumber for some special dishes, I'm impressed.
