I'm really happy to buy this tv ,very good quality picture & sound,easy to install,it took 30 minutes to set all channels and register,there is no guide booklet but when you turn it on you can follow the tv Instructions step by step,very good looking,with 100 Hz refresh rate, bring a very nice picture quality, the only reason I gave four star because the remote is small and some time you can get confused and press the wrong button,and I payed nearly 25 pounds extra for delivery to Amozon to bring the tv to my room, but the driver refused to that,and finally we sorted it out,so make sure they do your order correctly,overall I'm very pleased with this tv and I recommend. Good luck

This arrived today, and I eagerly ripped open the packaging to set up my TV. The first thing I was impressed with was how thin and light the unit was compared to my 9 year old model it was replacing, which was also LG. I love LG products, and their longevity has far exceeded other popular brands in my personal experience. I also make heavy use of LG SmartShare so this was a major consideration on choosing this particular brand, despite slightly cheaper OLED TVs being available.
After setting it up on the stand and plugging in all my peripherals, I fired her up. It took just a few seconds to go through the initial setup, with the TV auto detecting all the tech connected and setting each input up specific to what was detected - gaming for the consoles, cinema mode for the DVD player (yes, I still have one!) and standard mode for the over the air antenna. The auto tune picked up more free to air channels then my previous TV despite using the same arial so that was a bonus.
The AI picture and sound enhancement is fantastic, the user interface WebOS system is responsive and quick.
The console graphics are far superior on this TV than it's predecessor. Crystal clear, with black blacks if that makes sense.
A movie on netflix was a much better and way more enjoyable experience too.
The AI upscaling works miracles on the DVDs.
In short, this TV is brilliant. Not the cheapest you will buy, but in my experience worth every pound I spent on it!

I was looking for a 48 inch OLED TV for my lounge, and having read many reviews online settled for the LG model.

My lounge is approximately 16 x 10 feet and I wanted a TV that would fit in the corner without dominating the room. The LG 48 inch is the perfect size for this, big enough to feel like your part of the action but not so big that it becomes the focal point of the room.

The item arrived in a large cardboard box and was well protected with polystyrene inserts ensuring it survived the journey to my home. Unpacking was not as easy as some TV's I've owned. Sony's packaging 'falls away' from the TV after removing a few plastic clips. The LG however had to be carefully lifted out of its box. The screen was covered in a plastic wrap so this did at least prevent figure prints getting planted all over it.

Once unpacked it was relatively easy to mount the TV on my Spectral stand. One note of caution though is that the power cable does not detach from the TV. This was frustrating because the Spectral stand has a central column where cables can be fed through and hidden from sight. To do this with the LG TV, I'd have to chop the plug off, feed the cable through, and then refit the plug. To avoid invalidating the warranty (and any potential electrical risks) I decided to leave things as they were and plug the TV directly into the wall socket. This means that the cable is visible but it's a small compromise.

Setting up and tuning the TV is straight forward and you can do this with the supplied remote control or by using an app on your mobile phone. I used my phone and it was pretty effortless. Within minutes I had all the Freeview station tuned in and a half-dozen streaming apps set up.

Picture quality is amazing! Blacks are deep with no shading or digital artefacts and colours pop from the screen. Watch any recent animated film in 4K and you will be astonished.

Navigating the webOS interface takes a bit of getting used to, but within a couple of days I found it quite intuitive.

I can't comment on the quality of the sound from the built-in speakers as I'm using a Sonos Beam soundbar. On this note, it's disappointing that when the TV is off you can't use the remote control to turn the volume up and down when listening to music through the Sonos Beam. After a bit of online research, I discovered this is because LG's magic remote uses Bluetooth rather than Infrared, so the Sonos Beam cannot respond to it. It's not a deal-breaker as you can use the Spotify or Sonos app on your mobile phone to control music volume. That aside, when using the Sonos Beam for watching TV, it perfectly integrates with the LG and volume can be controlled using the up/down buttons on remote.

Speaking of the remote, I've never used a magic remote control before and now I wouldn't turn back. It effectively allows you to use the remote like a cursor on your laptop. So when you want to click on something on the TV screen, you point towards it and click as opposed to using the four-way direction control. It doesn't sound like a big deal, but once you've used it you'll never want to go back!

Overall, I'm really pleased with this purchase. The picture quality is brilliant, it's easy to use and the build quality feels like it will last a good few years.

At first I found the picture to be disappointingly dim BUT I found that Oled pixel brightness was set to auto. I switched it off and now the picture is nice and bright and absolutely awesome! Sound is really good and the remote is wonderful. Love this TV. Highly recommended.
