I like these Spring Chef Premium Swivel Vegetable Peelers! I found them one day when I stopped cooking supper to shop Amazon because I realized that I was wrinkling my nose as I sifted through five old peelers, trying to remember which one was the least frustrating to use. These are, as pretty much every review states, very sharp, so they make short work of peeling, even though I'm especially slow and careful with them. I don't even have to use a paring knife to cut off the ends of carrots, just give them a whack with my peeler. I wasn't sure I'd like their soft surface, but all I notice is that they're comfortable to use and work well. They play nicely with the dishwasher. I don't miss my old peelers one bit.

I'd only used rigid peelers before but this makes peeling so much easier and quicker.
I've had this for a year now and feels as sharp as it was new. Has been in the dishwasher several times. I typically peel carrots, butternut squash, sweet potato, courgette.
