In the last few years, my cat food brand changed the metal composition of their cans, and they became incredibly challenging to pull open. It’s not like I don’t have the muscles, but I was getting a callus on my finger at the joint which would crack and become a cut. The pull tabs can be sharp, too, which doesn’t help. I still have to pry the tab up a little bit with my finger, no big deal, but this makes pulling the tabs so easy. The first time I tried this tool, the tab flew across the room because I didn’t anticipate how easy it would be. Lol.

This is a handy gadget for any kitchen. We use it constantly. The only weak spot we've found is the handle end slot that is used to pry up pop tops on cans. It has become chipped with tiny pieces of plastic breaking off. It's never been dropped or misused in any way that would cause this.
