• Job Purpose
• To support all Wafer Foundry Outsourcing (WFO) activities in Mainland China.
• Drive the local team which consists of Device/Process Integration Engineers, Quality Engineers, and Planning & Logistic staff.
• Provide detailed market Intelligence summary for Mainland China silicon foundry helping to identify the best foundry opportunities for ST.
• Drive 1st level Business negotiation with identified partners to allow ST to stay competitive vs. the local and international competition.
• Job Responsibilities
• To support all WFO activities in foundries with a particular focus on:
• - Engineering: process transfer, production follow up, yield improvement
• - Quality management
• - Planning & logistic support
• Support all WFO activities by identifying and releasing blocking points between Chinese foundries and ST
• To develop a network of connections with Chinese foundries
• Communicate to Chinese foundries about the key role of ST in semiconductor market and differentiation.
• To gather information on the Mainland China silicon foundry market giving an accurate view of the foundry market and Business deals to WFO management. Help to identify best foundry opportunities for ST.
• Transversal role within WFO with coordination between WFO China and overseas Engineering, Quality and Planning organization
• The function requires:
• Minimum 10-15y experience in Semiconductor manufacturing
• Experience in 1 of the main Chinese Foundry is a plus (HHG, SMIC, UNT, GTA, Cansemi)
• Strong existing network among Chinese Semiconductor manufacturers / customers
• Strong knowledge of China strategy on Semiconductor market
• Excellent knowledge of Si Foundry market
• Good background in silicon technology/process and product qualification
• Chinese nationality and mother tongue Mandarin with fluent English
• Ability to travel to Singapore and Europe few times a year.
