Responsibilities
You will be a member of a growing Windows Inbox Apps engineering team that puts user and ISV requirements first in order to build a quality, reliable, and accessible native app experience that runs on hundreds of millions of devices.
- Craft highly interactive User Interface based on high fidelity designs.
- Plan, design, develop, test and deliver consumer facing features end to end in collaboration with product managers, designers, and engineers across multiple teams in different continents.
- Follow best practices and improve the fundamentals of the Windows Inbox Apps codebase.
- Communicate clearly and concisely with stakeholders.
- Integrate AI features into the UI to enhance functionality and user interaction.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
- OR equivalent experience.
- 1+ years of experience with XAML (WinUI/UWP/WPF).
- 1+ years of experience with Windows API (Win32, COM, WinRT, WinAppSDK or DirectX).
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to tackle complex technical challenges.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Experience with AI and machine learning technologies.
- Knowledge of accessibility standards and best practices.
- Familiarity with Windows development environments.
- Fluency in multithreaded and event-based programming models.
- Experience in architecting, building, and shipping high-scale products with engaging user-experience.
- Interest in mentoring less experienced developers and helping to create a positive team culture.
- Familiarity with Windows Azure technologies is a nice-to-have.
