Women in Arbitration (WIA，仲裁女性俱乐部）

𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟯 𝗪𝗜𝗔 𝗔𝗻𝗻𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗥𝗲𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 Women in Arbitration (WIA，仲裁女性俱乐部）is pleased to release the 2023 WIA Annual Report. Since its launch in 2018, WIA has organised activities in Shanghai, Beijing, Hong Kong, Shenzhen, and virtually. Activities include roundtable discussions, debates, and social events covering technical topics relating to arbitration, as well as subjects addressing professional and personal development. WIA has continued our endeavour in creating fora for sharing experiences and promoting visibility. Our events organised in 2023 have invited 55 speakers, of which 44 speakers were female (80%), from diverse backgrounds to share their insights in various topics of role and visibility of female arbitration practitioners. In 2023, various major arbitral institutions and lawyer associations have joined WIA’s effort in promoting diversity in arbitration. In total, 5 arbitral institutions and 3 lawyer associations co-organised or supported our events. The 2023 WIA Annual Report has been posted on our website. The events will be held every two months and will be in a hybrid format (i.e., in-person and online). Each event will have two parts: 1. A 45-minute plenary discussion between a WIA host and a guest speaker. 2. Followed by a 30 to 45-minute networking session. Our unique networking session in the WIA Coffee Roulette 2024 series is designed to foster meaningful connections. Participants attending in person will be paired for a private and informal chat. Online participants will be paired in Zoom breakout room for a private and informal chat. The plenary discussion will be broadcast on Zoom and available to online participants.
