In this instalment of #JJMstory, we introduce our founder - a remarkable individual who has been awarded several accolades in recognition of his contributions to Qidong's economic growth. These include "Outstanding Entrepreneur of Qidong City", "Charity Star of Qidong City" and "Model Worker of Nantong City". His 50 years of experience began as an employee at the Qidong Transistor factory in 1974 which lit a spark in him, prompting him to start Qidong Jie Jie Microelectronics, the predecessor of JJM. With his never-give-up attitude and desire to further the industry, our chairman has always adopted a hands-on approach and has various times taken on the role of legal representative, chairman of the board and General Manager. Today, he continues to oversee operations, management and marketing as well as being the chair of Jiejie Investment. Frank joined us with an electrical engineering degree and more than 10 years of experience. Now the Principal Assistant to our CEO, Frank assists Mr Huang in driving our company toward our long-term goals and ever greater heights. His role places him in a position, not just to support, but also learn from the staff and the range of experience and expertise they offer. Daily, we look to Frank for guidance on coordination and supporter to different functional teams where he helps facilitate smooth progress. And as the CEO's deputy, we have benefitted greatly from his administrative expertise, strategic guidance and interpersonal skills gained through his years of experience. He is based out of our HQ in Qidong city, which is a 100km drive from his hometown of Shanghai. "I'm still in the process of learning the history and culture of JJM from my peers. JJM is known to the power semiconductor industry as a leading Integrated Device Manufacturer specialising in discrete devices and power electronic components. We boast in-house R&D along with a full suite of services from sales to manufacturing. An enviable operation that belies our humble roots. What would become JJM began as 2-inch wafer fab production line in a rented space in Qidong where we produced high-power bipolar transistors for TVs and radios in 1995. It took only 4 years before we built our own facility and a second wafer fab plant. In the ensuing years, we added thyristor production to our capabilities. Today, our facilities include 4 wafer fabs (4-inch, 5-inch, 6-inch, and 8-inch), 4 assembly and test sites as well as 7 R&D teams in 4 R&D centers. Xingyu joined us in 2013 as a gauger technician who play a critical role in precise measurement and quality control, essential for everyday operational efficiency, safety, and regulatory compliance. He is currently serving as JJM's quality manager where he has accumulated extensive knowledge in quality assurance and has become proficient in various quality tools.
