After the announcement last week, we are delighted to share some “behind the scenes” snapshots of the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding for a strategic partnership with HIXIH Rubber Industry Group , another milestone in our growth path. Jointly with the excellence and strength of Hixih, we want to accelerate growth and achieve the market leadership we already have in Europe and North America, increasing our penetration of the fast-growing Chinese OEMs and Tier 1 customers. EuroGroup Laminations approved the Interim Financial Report as of 30 June 2024. The results are in line with expectations, thanks to triple-digit growth in EV & Automotive in China and the progressing recovery in Industrial. Specifically, the EV & Automotive segment posted revenues of € 263.9 million, up by 7.7% compared to the same period in 2023, mainly due to the increase in production volumes on new projects and the ramp-up in production related to the growing demand for EV products for several clients, consistently with the net order book execution. Revenues in the Asia region, in particular, which had seen the EV & Automotive segment exceed the Industrial segment during 2023, amounted to € 49.2 million, more than doubled YoY due to the ramp-up of production of new projects for the EV & Automotive segment for non-Chinese customers. Production for the first Chinese OEM is scheduled to start in the last quarter of 2024. The organic targets for both 2024 and for the mid-term are confirmed. EuroGroup Laminations has entered into an investment agreement to acquire 40% of the share capital, and of the control, of the Indian company KUMAR PRECISION STAMPINGS PRIVATE LIMITED, a leading local player in the production and distribution of stators and rotors for electric motors. The acquisition represents an important strategic milestone for our company, allowing to further consolidate the positioning of our Industrial business unit at a global level, while successfully penetrating the highly attractive and fast-growing Indian market, which provides for untapped opportunities while also starting to operate in the fast-growing transformers’ business. Thanks to the deal, we will also expand our geographical footprint in a strategic area, enhancing proximity to new and existing clients while also addressing their rapidly evolving needs. We are glad to announce that, following the Italian government's institutional visit to China and as part of the framework agreements on the electric car signed between Italy and China, today Sergio Iori, Chairman of EGLA, signed a strategic partnership agreement with Mr. Niu Yishun, Founder of HIXIH Rubber Industry Group , a leading company in the Chinese automotive components market. The signing took place in Rome at the Ministero delle Imprese e del Made in Italy headquarters with the presence of Minister Adolfo Urso, with Mr. Niu Yishun connected via videoconference. The Memorandum of Understanding commits the parties to work towards an industrial partnership, based on a Joint-Venture under the control of EGLA, to further stimulate growth in the Chinese market. The agreement provides a quantum leap in the commercial and industrial ecosystem for EGLA's EV & Automotive segment in the region, based on important pillars such as the establishment of a new R&D center and a new high-tech industrial plant. “We are proud to sign this important agreement that represents a decisive step forward in the world's most important and potential market for electric cars. Marco Briceño, Industry 4.0 Program Manager at Eurotranciatura Mexico, recently attended to the Siemens Xcelerator Summit Querétaro to talk about the company’s endeavors in the fields of innovation and sustainability. Speaking as a panelist at the roundtable “Digitalization: pillar of competitivity in the Mexican industry”, our colleague highlighted Eurotranciatura Mexico’s pioneering role in the use of a new and advanced CO2 tracking system, the platform SiGreen, aimed at collecting data about emissions in an effective way and, ultimately, compensate them financing preservation initiatives of the ecological region of Sierra Gorda. The event was a great chance for discussion about the latest trends in technology, renewable energy and economy, reminding the importance of collaboration and cohesion among industry players to globally reduce impact on the environment. Early this week Leonard. Franchini, PhD, our CEO Automotive and Honorary Consul of the Italian Republic in Mexico for the Bajio area, held a speech during "Nearshoring Mexico: The Logical Next Step in the World’s Largest Market – North America Opportunities for Italian Companies", an event that aims to highlight Mexico's investment potential, due in part to the increase in sustainability practices in industry. For EuroGroup Laminations this event has been especially significant as our entity Eurotranciatura Mexico represents a reference point for several Italian and European companies in Querétaro. Also, it has been a valuable opportunity to share our project on circular economy, a sustainable alternative to the linear economic mode ➡️we have worked together with Eurotranciatura Mexico to support and actively participate in Querétaro State Government's circular economy project by bringing together a large group of Italian companies, using an innovative and experimental system of emission tracking from Siemens, SIGreen. EuroGroup Laminations has successfully completed a financing transaction for the signing of four financing agreements with Intesa Sanpaolo-IMI/CIB Division, UniCredit, BNL BNP Paribas and Deutsche Bank for 140 million euros. Such financing is in line with the company's broader growth strategy, particularly at the international level. As a result, it can now rely on a greater financial flexibility, as well as on the resources needed to further strengthen its growth trajectory in the medium and long term, including through external growth operations. At the same time, the contracts signed allow Eurogroup to optimize its financial structure, making it more efficient by centralizing the management of credit lines and debt at the parent company level, while also increasing the debt average life. Moreover, reconfirming its focus on sustainability and on safeguarding the territories in which it operates, the company will use the term credit line supported by the SACE Green Guarantee to pursue Climate Change Mitigation, Objective 1 of the Environmental Objectives’ List.   Read the full press release: https://lnkd.in/dBxtmk9W
