Pharma jackass really wants the world to hate him

Embattled pharma-villain Martin Shkreli wants to destroy the single existing copy of the Wu-Tang Clan album he bought at auction for $2 million.

“With the Wu-Tang album playing in the background,” Vice writes in a new profile, “Shkreli says he vacillates between wanting to destroy the record and dreaming of installing it in some remote place so that people have to make a spiritual quest to listen.”

Shkreli explained, “I’m not just the heel of the music world, I want to be the world’s heel.”

The bratty former CEO of Turing Pharmaceuticals, which under his leadership infamously jacked up the price of a life-saving anti-parasite drug used by HIV patients from $13.50 to $750, also opens up about his time in jail following his Dec. 17 arrest on securities fraud charges involving his hedge fund, MSMB Capital Management.

“They gave me my own cell and there were like 10 dudes in the other cell . . . I was like the king.”

He’s out on bail but, “because of the pending trial,” he can’t leave Westchester County — which is where he spent New Year’s Eve with friends, Vice reports — without explaining who his friends are.
