The UMDF is pleased to announce the appointment of Darline Tognia as the new coordinator, along with the recruitment of Fadimatou Myriam Amadou, a municipal finance specialist. Darline Tognia has been appointed as UMDF Coordinator as of April 2024. By fostering synergies among local, national, and international actors, Darline will contribute to accelerating the UMDF's efforts in promoting sustainable urban development and enhancing municipal finance. The new UMDF coordinator is not a complete stranger, as she joined the African Development Bank in 2019 and served as legal counsel for both the Private and Public Sectors, playing a crucial role in (re)structuring complex infrastructure projects across various sectors, including climate investment projects. Fadimatou Myriam Amadou joined the Fund in June 2024 as a Municipal Finance Specialist. The ability of municipalities to finance their urban development is crucial and heavily depends on the technical and financial support of the Fund. Fadimatou's expertise has arrived at the perfect time to help develop further research approaches and initiatives in sub-national finance. Welcome on board! More infos on : https://lnkd.in/dHPBvck5
