Position Overview: The Charles River Boat Company is currently hiring crew to act as mate and tour guide for our sightseeing, architecture, and sunset tours. This is the ideal position for individuals passionate about the cities of Boston and Cambridge and confident with public speaking. Tour narration and training will be provided by the Charles River Boat Company!
Job Responsibilities:
- Narrate sightseeing tours
- Simultaneously offer snack bar and beverage service for public and private cruises
- Sell tickets for pubic cruises and providing tour information
- Be knowledgeable of all public tour offerings
- Provide exceptional hospitality to cruise guests
- Set-up and breakdown of vessels for public and private events
- Ensure customer satisfaction and safety at all times
- Follow safety procedures in order to ensure protection of passengers and vessel
- Maintain the cleanliness of vessels
Job Qualifications:
- Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
- Pre-employment and on-going random drug testing required for all marine personnel
- Ability to work at least part-time April through October
- Must be extremely comfortable with public speaking

- Ability to confidently drive 65ft twin screw vessels in close quarters

- Minimum of Valid 100-Ton inland license

- Work directly with Captain to safely maneuver and dock the vessel
Job Qualifications:
- Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
- Pre-employment and on-going random drug testing required for all marine personnel
- Prior line handling knowledge is preferred, but not required
- Ability to work at least part-time April through October
