In Singapore, we’ve launched a year-round volunteering program at a local after-school educational programme, in partnership with FaithActs. FaithActs is a non-profit community care service with a vision to impact, change and transform lives of children with learning difficulties, youths-at-risk, disadvantaged families and seniors with challenging needs. Twice a month, our volunteers spend time with children at after-school educational programme, playing games, teaching the basics of financial literacy, sharing about other cultures, and even trying out Yoga! ZEDRA was delighted to attend the topping out ceremony for the Woolgate Exchange alongside leading Taiwanese insurance firm Cathay Life Insurance Co., Ltd. (Cathay Life) earlier this week. The event marked completion of a successful environmentally-friendly refurbishment of the Woolgate Exchange in the City of London. As managing Trustees, ZEDRA has been instrumental in handling all the administration related to the refurbishment. The Woolgate Exchange is a nine-story building that will be entirely electrically run on renewable energy, combining sustainability, innovation, and functionality. The refurbishment anticipates net-zero carbon in both construction and operation thanks to an ambitious ‘reuse and retain’ strategy.
