Since its inception in 2021, in addition to advanced automated and high-throughput experimentation in the field of heterogeneous catalysis, ETHZ SwissCAT+ has started developing and implementing a fully digital data management strategy to facilitate and standardize large database processing.   In continuation of this work, we are happy to announce that we have just been awarded two Open Research Data (ORD) grants: swissuniversities: B3.2: ORD Funding for Existing Research Infrastructures of Strategic Relevance (152 kCHF) with the aim to implement an overall data management strategy with the possibility to be implemented at other facilities. ETH Board (ETH-Rat): Open Research Data (ORD) Program Measure 1: Field-specific actions Track C: Contribute Projects (15 kCHF) targeting streamlined and standardized heterogeneous catalysis characterization data.   We thank the open science delegation from swissuniversities, the ETH Board (ETH-Rat) and the reviewers for their positive evaluation. The Swiss Cat+ East family is further growing 🎉 and we are pleased to welcome the newest members of our team, Simon Skibbe and Timon Gradinger. Simon Skibbe is doing a 6 month internship as a Research Engineer with us, focusing on method development for catalyst characterization and associated data management. Timon Gradinger joins us as a Laboratory Technician and will mainly focus on support and maintenance of the devices and automated syntheses. #TeamGrowth #NewHires #ETHZ

Join us in welcoming our new team members! We're excited to announce the addition of two new team members to the Swiss Cat+ East family at ETH Zürich, Hönggerberg. Hannes Frey is joining us as a Scientist. He finished his PhD in October working on heterogeneous catalysis at ETH's @ScopeM and DCHAB. He will be responsible for Catalyst Characterization. Tanguy Maury is joining us as a Software Developer. Tanguy is going to an engineering school in Centrale Lille, France where he pursues his degree in software engineering. He will be in Switzerland for 5 months doing an internship with us. We are thrilled to have these talented and experienced individuals join our team. We are confident that they will make a significant contribution to our company and help us achieve our goals. 🚀 #growingteam

The last months were marked by important purchases for our laboratory at  ETH Zürich, Hönggerberg (Swiss CAT+ East): 1) Agilent ICP MS 7900, combined to a 213nm laser ablation chamber from ELEMENTAL SCIENTIFIC INSTRUMENTS, LTD 2) Two microtrac Belsorp MAX X units

We performed the first test catalytic reaction on the new Chemspeed station at Swiss CAT+ West Hub. Many thanks to the Chemspeed Technologies team for their support and the Swiss Cat+ team for their job!
