3D printing explained for everyone – Start of our Educational Series on Additive Manufacturing Imagine a hot glue gun, but instead of being guided by your hand, it’s steered by a precise robot. This robot follows a programmed path, depositing material layer by layer. After each layer is placed, the robot moves up slightly, gradually building a three-dimensional object from the ground up. This is the most common way a 3D printer works, but it's important to note that it is not the only method used in 3D printing. We’ll talk about other methods later in this series. 3D printing, also known as additive manufacturing (AM), operates on a simple yet revolutionary principle: creating objects by adding material layer by layer, pixel by pixel, voxel by voxel, or dot by dot. This differs from traditional subtractive or formative manufacturing methods, which often involve removing material from a larger block through cutting, drilling, or carving. Stay tuned for our upcoming series, where we dive deeper into the captivating world of 3D printing. We'll explore the entire additive manufacturing chain, from creating 3D models to producing the final product. Along the way, we'll cover the various technologies, materials, and real-world applications, making this fascinating technology accessible and understandable for everyone. #3DPrinting #AdditiveManufacturing #Innovation #Technology #TechTrends #Engineering #Prototyping #CAD #TechInnovation #Silicone #Spectroplast

Revolutionizing Surgical Training: 3D Printed Aneurysms in collaboration with the Medizinische Universität Wien We are thrilled to announce that in collaboration with the #MedUniVienna we have successfully 3D printed intracranial aneurysms with an unprecedented level of morphological and mechanical realism. This breakthrough allows for the simulation of case-specific complex anatomies and the complications related to treatment procedures, significantly enhancing the precision and safety of medical procedures. A primary challenge in producing these aneurysm models lies in ensuring that the material properties closely mimic real tissue. This precision is crucial to ensure morphological accuracy and promote optimal training outcomes. Furthermore, aneurysms are highly delicate structures, with channels as thin as 2 micrometers and even finer structural details. As part of the Medical University of Vienna's SIMIS project, an innovative simulation platform has been developed to replicate case-specific anatomies and complex neurosurgical procedures using additive manufacturing. Together, we have initiated a study to validate the effectiveness of these 3D printed intracranial aneurysms for surgical training and preoperative planning. This partnership marks a significant step forward in medical training and patient safety, and we are proud to be at the forefront of such pioneering work. Stay tuned for more updates on our progress! https://lnkd.in/d5hpaSCs #MedicalInnovation #Research #3DPrinting #Silicone #AdditiveManufacturing #SurgicalTraining #Collaboration #Innovation #MedUniWien #Spectroplast #CardiacSurgery #HealthCare

𝐈𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐏𝐨𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐒𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐒𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐓𝐨𝐨𝐥𝐬 Silicone parts can be found in almost any everyday object. Today we're looking at a standard household drill. The design of a drill handle can significantly transform the user experience. A manufacturer might want to change the grip for enhanced comfort or try a different shape that better absorbs vibrations. One might consider that users can be right-handed or left-handed and therefore need to experiment with different versions. Design teams experiment with different variations to find the optimal solution and prototyping allows for quick adaptation to new ideas. At Spectroplast we perfect everyday objects using advanced silicone 3D printing to create various prototypes and end products. This enables you to test and refine designs rapidly, adapting efficiently to new ideas and feedback. Partner with us to experience the difference silicone 3D printing can make for your company. #3DPrinting #Silicone #Innovation #Prototyping #Manufacturing #Spectroplast #IndustrialSolutions #AdditiveManufacturing

Should we 3D-print silicone parts instead of injection molding them? Yes! Whether it is for medical uses or automotive components, 3D-printing silicone parts definitely makes sense. 𝐑𝐚𝐩𝐢𝐝 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐭𝐨𝐭𝐲𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐠 Silicone 3D-printing allows for quick production of prototypes, speeding up the design and development process and reducing time to market. 𝐂𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 3D-printing technology enables the creation of complex and intricate designs that would be difficult or impossible to achieve with traditional manufacturing methods. This allows for highly customized and precise parts. 𝐅𝐥𝐞𝐱𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 Silicone 3D-printing allows us to produce highly flexible and elastic parts, which can be customized to different shore hardness levels to meet specific application requirements. At Spectroplast, we are pioneers in making silicone 3D-printable. Dear LinkedIn Community, The moment we've eagerly anticipated is finally here! We're thrilled to announce that Formnext is now live, and it's brimming with innovation, insights, and business opportunities. 🚀✨ Come see us at our Booth 11.1 E49! ♞Play your business opportunities like a game of chess♞ ---------------------- ♜Strategy is Key: In both business and chess, strategic thinking is essential. Success often depends on planning several moves ahead, anticipating your competitor's actions, and adapting your strategy based on changing circumstances. Just as in chess, businesses need to foresee potential challenges and have contingency plans in place. ♜Risk and Reward: Chess involves calculated risks; sometimes sacrificing a piece can lead to a greater advantage later in the game. Similarly, businesses must take calculated risks to innovate, expand, or gain a competitive edge. ♜Decision-Making: Chess teaches decision-making under pressure. Similarly, business leaders often face high-pressure situations where they must make critical decisions swiftly and wisely. Analyzing the situation, weighing options, and making informed choices are essentials for a profitable business. ♜Long-Term Vision: Chess is a game of patience; victory often goes to the player with a long-term vision and the ability to endure challenges. Similarly, successful businesses have leaders with a clear vision for the future. They invest in sustainable practices and long-term growth rather than seeking quick, short-term gains. - Spectroplast
