With the recent growth of crypto, the investment environment for digital assets in Japan is rapidly evolving. Nomura and its digital asset subsidiary Laser Digital conducted a survey of over 500 investment managers in Japan from April 15 to 26 this year to understand investment trends and intentions towards digital assets, and issues when considering investing. The results found that over half of the investors surveyed are motivated to invest in digital assets to some extent in the future. Further, 25% of respondents said they have a “Positive” impression of crypto assets. When investing in crypto assets, respondents indicated that the preferred allocation is 2~5% of AUM.
