In order to showcase our new factory building we made a short video of the activities going on. The new facility has dedicated space for everything from incoming goods inspection/testing, assembly, Factory Acceptance Testing and eventually shipping of our Gericke Formulation Skid for Continuous Manufacturing of OSD. We now also have enough room height to install and test integrated CM lines, flexible with any downstream process such as continuous direct compression, continuous granulation etc. During FAT we can also run the equipment with powders and test it with our fully integrated automation solution. Our state of the art automation system controls everything from material handling, refilling, loss in weight feeding, blending and PAT, all the way to the interface to any downstream process. This allows us to both de-risk and reduce time for any on site activities during SAT. Eventually both reducing lead times and implementation hurdles of continuous manufacturing for our customers. One of the reasons for #Gericke's success and longevity is its ability to take advantage of the opportunities presented by the market. One of these opportunities appeared at the very beginning of the company, when the population of Switzerland grew from 2.5 million to 3.3 million between 1860 and 1900. This increase in population led to strong growth in the milling industry, not only with the development of new facilities, but above all with the expansion of the capacity of existing facilities.
