The state of human rights in Eritrea continues to be dire with no signs of improvement. Today the UN Human Rights Council adopted a resolution to renew the mandate of the Special Rapporteur. The Council has a responsibility & duty to speak up and ensure monitoring and reporting of the situation.

Our Delegation couldn't work without them: our assistants do an incredible job supporting the various sections. While their daily job is mostly behind the desk, our Ambassador invited them today to discover the labyrinth of the UN Palais in Geneva. Luckily, they made it safely back to the office 😃
