Info
Biomolecules (ISSN 2218-273X, IF 6.064) is an international, peer-reviewed open access journal focusing on biogenic substances and their biological functions, structures, interactions with other molecules, and their microenvironment as well as biological systems. Biomolecules publishes reviews, regular research papers and short communications. Our aim is to encourage scientists to publish their experimental and theoretical results in as much detail as possible. There is no restriction on the length of the papers. The full experimental details must be provided so that the results can be reproduced. There are, in addition, unique features of this journal: 1. manuscripts regarding research proposals and research ideas will be particularly welcomed 2. electronic files or software regarding the full details of the calculation and experimental procedure - if unable to be published in a normal way - can be deposited as supplementary material Scope This journal covers all topics related to biogenic substances and molecular biology. Topics of interest include but are not limited to: --> small molecules: lipids, phospholipids, glycolipids, sterols, glycerolipids, carbohydrates, sugars, vitamins, hormones, neurotransmitters, metabolites --> monomers: amino acids, nucleotides, monosaccharides --> polymers: peptides, oligopeptides, polypeptides, proteins, nucleic acids, DNA, RNA, oligosaccharides, polysaccharides, glycoprotein, glycoconjugate, proteoglycan, cellulose, lignin, hemoglobin
