The trick is using generic parent elements and selecting with child elements. This method keeps your modules super flexible and dynamic, even in those extensive lists that make your head spin. 🌀 Imagine this: you’ve got a massive list, and instead of losing your mind, you simply use a generic parent element. Then use the ActionMode SELECT to make it unique directly in your test step. Bam! Your module attributes stay dynamic and adaptable. This approach makes handling long lists a breeze. ✨ And guess what? This magical trick works the other way too! If needed, you can use CONSTRAINT instead of SELECT. Both methods are golden and can help keep your modules efficient and dynamic. This tip is a lifesaver for managing long lists without pulling your hair out. 🧑💻 It keeps your Tosca modules clean, efficient, and, most importantly, dynamic. Hey everyone, guess what? We had another incredible Beer&Dinner event! 🎉🍻 This month, we were thrilled to have our co-founder Amin Chirazi and Vienna office team lead Bernhard join us. We gathered at a public grill by the beautiful Svratka River during sunset, creating the perfect backdrop for an unforgettable evening. 🌅🍖 The food was absolutely amazing, and mouth-watering Czech beer as always, was delicious and plentiful. 👩💻 Meet Kristýna K. our consultant and #PurplePack team lead, who’s been with us for almost 2.5 years. She's another star from Czechitas!🌐   𝟏. 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐭𝐨 𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐡 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐝𝐢𝐝 𝐂𝐳𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐬 𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐩 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐡?  I applied for Czechitas #DigitalAcademy to broaden my tech skills when I was working as Digital Medicines Manager. Speaking to lecturers, I realized software testing is more appealing to me than I expected. Moreover I had a chance to visit #Automators during the Academy as they were one of partner companies and it all just clicked together. 𝟐. 𝐂𝐚𝐧 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐚 𝐡𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐬 𝐨𝐮𝐭?  Hard to pick one! But my most intense memories are related to hackaton, that I enjoyed with the awesome Unicorn team, and to programming a turtle to draw various objects, which was both funny and frustrating part of amazing Java lessons given by Jiri Koudelka 😁 𝟑. 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐬 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐝 𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐭 𝐀𝐮𝐭𝐨𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐬, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐝𝐢𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐢𝐭?  Regression testing of #SAP during which I found out that with my unbelievably skilled and kind colleagues I can survive anything, even SAP😁 But I did not fully realized how much I learned from that about SAP processes and testing it with #TricentisTosca until the next regression testing 7 months later. It was truly enriching experience, that gave me a solid knowledge base to boost self-confidence for future projects. 𝟒. 𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐝𝐨 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐚𝐜𝐡 𝐚 𝐧𝐞𝐰 𝐭𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐞? 𝐀𝐧𝐲 𝐟𝐮𝐧 𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐤𝐬 𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐢𝐩𝐬?  𝐒𝐭𝐞𝐩 𝟏:  Try your best shot and keep fingers crossed. 𝐒𝐭𝐞𝐩 𝟐: Fail and investigate the failure message. 𝐒𝐭𝐞𝐩 𝟑: Modify your test and hope in a new failure message. Failure messages are your buddy. 𝐑𝐞𝐩𝐞𝐚𝐭 until success. ❗𝐈𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐭: If success does not come in reasonable (!) time, go for a short walk and/or ask your colleagues! 𝟓. 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭’𝐬 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐟𝐚𝐯𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐡, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐀𝐮𝐭𝐨𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐬? Mindset and can-do approach.   𝟔. Last month, our talented Lukas Hotovy spent a few inspiring days at the WebExpo Conference in the iconic #Lucerna Palace, #Prague. 🚀 Meet Nikoleta Stefanova: Our Senior IT Consultant at Automators! 🚀 We want to share some insights of our amazing company and its incredible team members, so here a new interview with one of our standout employees. 1. What inspired you to enter the tech world and specialize in test automation? From a young age, I was drawn to the world of technology. My IT journey began at 14 during high school with Frontend development. My passion led me to study Computer Science at University of Vienna. In my third semester, I met Automators and Bernhard Sternbauer and Valentin Ober, who introduced me to the concept of test automation, which I found incredibly fascinating. I chose test automation because it is the secret weapon for speed, accuracy, efficiency, and customer satisfaction, much like the transistor revolutionized electronics. 2. Can you share a challenging project at Automators and what you learned from it? Every project presents its own set of challenges, especially in external consulting where adaptation to different personalities, visions, and expectations is the key. This taught me the importance of flexibility, clear communication, and teamwork. It reinforced the need to constantly update and refine our technical skills to meet diverse client demands. 3. How do you stay updated with new trends in automated testing, and what strategies do you use to ensure reliable tests? I stay updated by connecting with other experts and participating in conferences and workshops. Engaging with the tech community through forums and social media also helps. 4. What’s your favorite part about working in tech, and specifically with Automators? Working with Automators has been rewarding because they believe in me and provided a fantastic start to my career. I've had opportunities to work with major companies in various industries, which has helped me grow personally and professionally. Automators, especially Roman Rehm, encouraged my journey in Test Management, recognizing potential I hadn't seen in myself. 5. What advice would you give to newcomers in test automation? Test automation can be challenging, but you need to be patient with the learning process. During my first IT internship at 15, nobody cared that I was there. I was just sitting in the office, trying to learn something. And I really learned something big: Be the person you want to work with. No one is perfect. Don’t fear. And that is a very important thing juniors need to learn and something I am trying to teach the people I work with. The best tip I can ever give is to listen more than you speak. Nobody learned anything by hearing themselves talk. We’re incredibly proud to have Nikoleta Stefanova as part of our team at Automators. Their dedication and passion continue to inspire us all.
