It has been a very long time since veteran Boston Celtics combo guard Jrue Holiday has played in a summer league game, and quite some time for star Celtics forward Jayson Tatum as well. But both will be playing high-level basketball at about the same time as several Celtics and prospective Boston players are suiting up in Las Vegas.
The star Boston duo will not be suiting up for the Sin City Celtics, however, despite playing a game in that Nevada metropolis. Holiday and Tatum will instead be playing a series of five games for the Team USA Showcase between July 10 and 22 in Las Vegas, Abu Dhabi, and London.
They will then head to France for the Group Play, quarterfinals, and finals stages of the 2024 Paris Olympics ending on Aug. 10.
