Baylor Scheierman, Anton Watson coach local kids at Boston Celtics community event

As we just saw in the case of former Boston Celtics point guard alum Kemba Walker, it is not so unusual for players to make the leap to the other side of the clipboard to become a coach after their time on the court as a player is over. But it is far less common to see prospective NBA players pick up the vocation even before they set foot on a court as a player at that level.

But we saw exactly this go down at a recent Celtics community event that had Boston’s 2024 draft picks Baylor Scheierman and Anton Watson coaching a cadre of kids in attendance — and doing it well!
