I was intrigued when I heard that CBDfx was going to release a line of Delta-9 THC products. Tetrahydrocannabinol, as everyone knows, is the cannabinoid found most prominently in marijuana. While it’s best known for its intoxicating effects, Delta-9 THC is also being studied for its wellness benefits, as well as its usefulness as a relaxation product.** As you can see, it has a great deal of potential as a wellness product, particularly when working in concert with CBD (cannabidiol).
There is a legal limit on hemp-derived CBD products of less than 0.3% THC. Of all the forms of hemp oil, full spectrum CBD oil gives you the greatest amount of THC. This is because full spectrum oil contains all the cannabinoids of the hemp plant (plus terpenes and other beneficial plant matter). While full spectrum oil is indeed a robust oil, sometimes its THC content ends up falling well below the legal limit. And so, with CBDfx’s new line of Delta-9 THC products, they’ve added extra THC back into the oil to bring it much closer to the legal limit. That means maximum THC and CBD benefits for the user.
It’s important to note that while less than 0.3% THC shouldn’t be enough to prove intoxicating for users, there is still a potential for psychotropic effects, which might cause impaired concentration, coordination and judgment. I advise anyone using these products to adhere to the recommended serving size, and to avoid driving or operating heavy machinery when using these products.
What Is Full Spectrum CBD?
Full spectrum CBD oil is the oil that is initially extracted from the buds, leaves and stems of the hemp plant. Full spectrum CBD gives you all of the valuable compounds found in hemp, including all of the cannabinoids, terpenes, flavonoids, and healthy fatty acids. Those cannabinoids include the two major cannabinoids, CBD (cannabidiol) and THC (tetrahydrocannabinol), as well as over a hundred minor cannabinoids, including CBG, CBN, and CBC. Hemp contains only trace amounts of THC (by law, less than 0.3%), which is not enough to be intoxicating.
What Is Delta-9 THC?
While there are different cannabinoids with THC in their names, delta-9 THC is the one we generally associate with the shortened name of THC. Tetrahydrocannabinol is one of the two major cannabinoids in cannabis and is the main psychoactive ingredient in marijuana. While it is the cannabinoid that can get you high, delta-9 THC also has a wide range of wellness benefits.

Yes! Microdosing delta-9 THC is an excellent way to take advantage of the calming wellness benefits of THC and full spectrum CBD, but without overdoing it. As with all things in the world of delta-9 THC, start small: ¼ the recommended serving size of your THC product in the morning every day — your choice, tincture or gummy. If you want to add to that, take another ¼ serving in the evening. If you feel like that’s still not working, you can bump up the morning serving to ½ serving, and so forth. The key to microdosing THC is to find the serving size that works best for your individual needs!

“Better” is a subjective word. Each of the three types of hemp oil have their advantages. Full spectrum CBD provides a complete blend of all cannabinoids, terpenes, and flavonoids from the hemp plant. So, full spectrum CBD creates the most powerful Entourage Effect. With broad spectrum CBD, the trace amounts of THC have been removed from the oil. This filtration process also takes away a bit of the other chemical compounds. Still, there are plenty of cannabinoids and other compounds to produce a slightly lesser Entourage Effect. The advantage of broad spectrum is that you don’t have to worry about having THC in your system. CBD isolate has all other plant content removed, making it 99% pure CBD. While you don’t achieve an Entourage Effect with CBD isolate, you do have the advantage of removing all the hemp smell and flavor, making it a good choice for some vape and bath products.
