Catalog Addendum

On March 31, 2016 the Provost Council approved the following programs to be added to the College of Management offerings.

  • Bachelor of Science: Hotel & Lodging Management (beginning in Fall 2016)
  • Bachelor of Science: Sports/Entertainment/Event Management (beginning in Fall 2016)
  • Master of Science: Hospitality Management (beginning in Fall 2016)

On April 1, 2016 the link for the FAQ's on the Computer and Technology Use policy page was updated.

On May 19th, 2016, the Complaints and Grievances page in the  catalog was modified to add the Student Complaint Process for Online Students in State Authorization Reciprocity States (SARA) states and non-SARA states.

On May 23rd, 2016, the following information was removed from the Applying and Admissions Requirements pages: all information stating that residents of Arkansas are not eligible to register for Johnson & Wales College of Online Education programs.

On May 23rd, 2016, the following information was added to the ApplyingAdmissions Requirements , and Undergraduate Admissions Requirements  pages:  all information stating that undergraduate applicants must have two years of full-time work experience beyond the applicant’s date of high school completion.

On May 23rd, 2016, the Undergraduate Admissions Requirements page of the Online catalog was amended to reflect the addition of the program title “B.S Food and Beverage Entrepreneurship” to the section heading “B.S in Business Studies and B.S Food and Beverage Entrepreneurship.”

On May 23rd, 2016, the following statements and section heading were added to the Undergraduate Admissions Requirements page of the Online Catalog:

 “…or Food & Beverage Entrepreneurship online bachelor's degree programs.”

“All Other B.S Degrees”

On May 23rd, 2016, the Undergraduate Admissions  and Early Enrollment  pages of the catalog was amended to include the following statement:

“In accordance with the applicable Federal and state law, for students entering JWU who will need to participate in a food service internship, the student must be 18 years old to participate in the internship, unless the student obtains an acknowledgement from the proposed internship site acknowledging that the student is not yet 18 years of age and stating that the student will not engage in any “particularly hazardous occupation.” 

On May 24th, 2016, the following information was added to the Accreditation and Approvals  page in the catalog:  information regarding State Licensure for College of Online Education programs, the approval of Johnson & Wales University to participate in the State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (SARA), current SARA member states, and the Student Complaint process for the College of Online Education. 

On May 25, 2016 the Provost Council approved the following program to be added to the College of Management offerings.

  • Master of Business Administration: Operations and Supply Chain Management Concentration (beginning in Fall 2016)

On June 10th, 2016, the Academic Standing page was amended to reflect changes to academic standing policy.

On June 16th, 2016, the graduate information tab under the Deferred Admission page was amended to include the following statement:

“All CASPA applications and supporting documentation on file will be destroyed upon matriculation of the current class.”

On October 19th, 2016, the Master of Science in Criminal Justice page was updated to accurately reflect the degree that will be awarded.
